The Full Story
Founded by authors David Cariens, Gwen Keane, Ann Eichenmuller, Elizabeth Stokes, and Jeanne Johansen in 2015. The Writers Guild’s first project was The Journal, our quarterly magazine featuring work by writers and poets who belong to The Guild. The Journal was dedicated to Elizabeth and her poem appears on the cover.
We believe in giving back to the writing community. Our professional members give their time, know-how, and talent to mentor other less experienced writers, helping them evolve in their writing journey and ultimately attain publication success.
Who We Are
We offer programs, workshops, critique groups, open mic nights, web-based writing, contests and writers’ nights out, as well as a weekly newsletter.
We are a non-profit group 501(c)3 and have members at all stages of their writing journey.
We welcome writers and poets at any stage of their writing life – from beginner to published author – and we welcome non-members to our meetings, contests and newsletter.
